YANNIS ADAMACOS (1952)
Βorn
at Pyrgos in Elia, Yannis Adamacos graduated from the School of Fine
Arts in Athens (1978) and subsequently (1979) went to Paris, where he
stayed for two years with a scholarship by the engraver Tassos. He had his first solo exhibition in Athens (1978) and
since then has presented his work in a number of one man and group
shows both in Greece and abroad.
He taught design and colour at the
Chalkis Painting Workshop and the Vakalo School of Art.
Setting off from a wild expressionism, his work moves in the field of
transavantgarde. He lives and works in Athens.
