  ANGELOS ANTONOPOULOS (1957)

Born at Tropea (Arcadia), Angelos Antonopoulos studied at the School of Fine Arts, Athens, painting with Dimosthenis Kokinidis and stage scenery with Vassilis Vassiliadis.  He had his first one-man show in Athens (1986), but had already participated to group exhibitions since 1984.  Other solo and group shows followed in Greece.  Since 1989 he teaches at the School of Fine Arts while at the same time he is engaged in decoration.  A plain composition and a restricted coloring characterize his work.  He lives and works in Athens.
