GIORGOS DERPAPAS (1937)

Born in Katerini and grown up at Thessalonica, Giorgos Derpapas moved to Hamburg (Germany) in 1957, where he studied Political and Economical Sciences. He had his first one-man exhibition in Hamburg (1964). Other solo and group shows followed both in Greece and abroad, including many Pan-Hellenic exhibitions. In the area of surrealism, his work includes intense realist and Byzantine elements. He lives and works in Athens.
