Born at Velo (Corinthia), Giorgos Golfinos studied painting at the School of Fine Arts, Athens (1975-1980) with Yannis Moralis and continued his studies in Paris at the École des Beaux Arts (1981-1984).  He had his first one-man exhibition in Athens (1980).  Other solo and groups shows followed in Greece and abroad.  Between expressionism and objectivity, his work is supplemented by solid geometric symbolisms.  He lives and works in Athens.
