YANNIS KOTTIS (1949)
Born
at Kokkoni (Corinth), Yannis Kottis studied at the Athenian
Technological Institute (1967-1970) and at the School
of Fine Arts (1974-1979) with Yannis Moralis and Nicos Nicolaou. With a scholarship he continued his studies at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris (1980-1983), where he
presented his first one-man exhibition too (1981).
He has shown his work in a series of solo and group exhibitions in
Greece and abroad and has participated in the Biennales of Alexandria and Young Artists, in Cannes, as well as at
the First Contemporary Art Cruise. Purely
expressionist, his work contains elements of the naive. He lives
and works in Paris.
