YANNIS MARAVAS (1954)

Born in Athens, Yannis Maravas is self-taught. He had his first solo exhibition in Athens (1990). Other one-man and group shows followed in Greece. At the same time he was also engaged in book illustration. At his work he combines expressionism with realism completing it with the technique of the Byzantine painting. He lives and works in Athens.
