Born at the Island of Kythera, Manolis
Haros studied etching
and painting at the École
Nationale
Supérieure
des
Beaux
Arts (1978-1982) and had his postgraduate
studies on image
communication at the École
Nationale
Supérieure
des
Arts
Décoratifs (1982-1983) in Paris. He had his
first one-man show
in Athens (1981).
Other solo and group exhibitions
followed in Greece and abroad. In 1984 he was awarded with the Prix
des
Fondations in the domain of lithography. He has
also been engaged in the design of furniture, objects, toys and printed
matters. His work belongs to the descriptive painting with an
abstract and expressionist dimension.
He lives and works in Athens.
