 ALEXIS ARVILLIAS (1943)

Born in Athens, Alexis Arvillias studied physics at the University of Athens (1962-1967) and specialised in computer science at the University of Manchester U.K. (1967-1972) where he earned his PhD.  He is a scientific researcher with the Polytechnic School of Athens and Demokritos.  He is a self-taught painter and had his first one-man exhibition in Athens (1981).  His work is characterized by abstract cubism.  He lives and works in Athens.
