  ARISTOTELIS TZAKOS (1957)

Born in Athens, Aristotelis Tzakos studied at the School of Fine Arts with Dimosthenis Kokinidis (1975-1980) and later continued at the Washington University School of Art, in St. Louis, Missouri U.S.A. (1980-1982).  He had his first one-man show in Athens (1991), having already exhibited his work in group shows since 1980.  Other solo and group exhibitions followed in Greece and abroad.  He has been named special collaborator of the 2nd Painting Workshop of the School of Fine Arts, Athens, by Ilias Dekoulakos (1985-1989) and since 1989 he is member of the specialized educational personnel of that same workshop under Chronis Botsoglou.  His work belongs to the area of geometric painting.  He lives and works in Athens.
