"THE SCOUTS ON STAMPS
EXHIBITION"

ATHENS GREECE 1970

The "Scouts on Stamps Exhibition" was organized on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the foundation of the Scout Association of Greece (Soma Hellinon Proskopon) and the seventieth anniversary of the issue of the Mafeking Siege stamps, which are considered as the first ever scouts on stamps.

The organization of this exhibition was initiated and implemented by Panayotis D. Cangelaris, then Assistant Scout Leader in the 2nd Scout Group of Psychico District, in Athens Greece, who designed the special commemorative cancel and the Catalogue, wrote the latter's texts and exhibited his collection in fifteen frames.
